The Basecamp3 creative industries enterprise hub was launched in January 2010 and currently provides 30 desk spaces for creative
entrepreneurs and is home to 12 different businesses the management/business support team, a Digital art studio, an accountant specialising in supporting creative businesses, a number of developers, programmers and consultants from the games industry, a 2D animator, web developers and online marketing specialists, a digital marketing consultant, graphic designers, motion graphics producers, a record label and photographers.

The project received a global incubation award at the 9th Annual Incubation Awards in the “combining Entrepreneurship with creativity
& culture” category in November 2010.

Spiel are a publishing company. They make a magazine, also called Spiel, which goes monthly. It is about, amongst other things, football, art and fashion. Spiel intend their magazine as a coming together of thoughtful enquiry and an unashamed “boyishness” to create a magazine representative of their experience of masculinity based around style, culture and awareness. Thankfully, the magazine looks set to enact these ideals with far more poise and than do its creators.
